Lots of fun activities to do both indoors and outside. Deavan and Graeme spent some time at the museum of Nature with Alison; colouring/painting; and wrestling with each other.
Outside, the boys enjoyed tobogganing down their slide that eventually turned into a tunnel; playing at the pond; and even Ruby played around in the snow.
The FitzGeralds have had quite a busy year with work (both of us back full time), travel (Montreal, Arizona, trips around ON), birthdays (Graeme’s 1st and Deavan’s 3rd), and, of course, Christmas.
The year began with Deavan and Graeme staying at home full time (minus a day or two at daycare for Deavan) with Mom followed by Dad. We did all sorts of fun things including outings and vacations; visits with family and friends (near and far); Deavan’s first train ride and Graeme’s first plane ride; all sorts of baby and toddler milestones; and so much more!
On the home front, we got a new wood burning fireplace; the boys got a fun play area outside with swings and a sandbox; Scott made lots of headway downstairs on the basement renos; and Lawrence started redoing the upstairs bathroom.
The year ahead promises to be just as busy… Work will remain steady as we both continue in our respective acting positions; more activities and excursions planned; renovations and upgrades including some professional landscaping; more toddler milestones (…this year will be Graeme’s turn for potty training); and a scary thought: our little guy, Deavan, will start full-time school come September!

Deavan celebrated his 3rd birthday this past Saturday with friends and family.
After recruiting Lawrence and Casey to help make Yummy Dough, the kids went to town with their creations. Too bad the dough was cooked a bit too long (not so yummy, Mommy!).
There were games, presents, food and, of course, Dump Truck birthday cake!!

In late October, winter hit us with a good dusting of snow just in time for Halloween. Had Deavan not been so sick, he would have needed a snowsuit under his costume…
But Graeme and Ruby were having a blast!
Deavan went to the Kanata Santa Claus parade in mid-November with the Slivinskis et al. When asked who he saw he replied, “horses!”
Bath time over, Scott got the boys dressed and ready for bed when Graeme decided Dad had missed a spot behind his ears – and plop! back in the bath he went…
Good thing we got that extra hour so that we can continue to cram in as many activities as possible: Carp and Richmond Fairs; Mount Orchard (apples); playing in the leaves; Wheelers (maple syrup); and Halloween!
